Guitar Mania Captured 1981

Measures 10" tall. Made of resin. Artist: Stanley Mouse Journey, the kings of adult oriented rock, sought out Stanley Mouse in 1980 to create an album cover for their live double album, entitled "Captured." Using the ancient and mystical scarab, Stanley designed and created what has now become a legendary image in rock and roll. Captured 1981. After the exhibition, the guitars were auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting these charities.. From the Guitar Mania collection. Guitar Mania, a public art project in Cleveland, featured 10 foot high decorated fiberglass replicas of Fender Stratocaster guitars, designed and painted by celebrities and artists. The project was a collaboration between the United Way and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Each guitar figurine comes with its own sticker decorated guitar case and stand.
